Tulipa australis or wild tulip (άγρια κίτρινη τουλίπα in greek) belongs to the Liliaceae family. It is a perennial bolbus plant. I came across this specimen in early June at Mt. Helmos in Peloponnese.

Wild Tulip (Tulipa australis)
Tulipa australis or wild tulip (άγρια κίτρινη τουλίπα in greek) belongs to the Liliaceae family. It is a perennial bolbus plant. I came across this specimen in early June at Mt. Helmos in Peloponnese.
