Saxifraga (Saxifraga scardica)

Saxifraga scardiga (πετρόχορτο) belongs to the Saxifragaceae family. It's leaves are hard and grows on rocks where it finds a little soil. It is ubiquitous in the mountains in Greece. This one I found in Mt. Stroggoula (Tzoumerka) in Pindos mountain range.

W pięknym miejscu rosły skalnice. Dobry pomysł z opisem kwiatów. Z przyjemnością tu zagoszczę, bo kocham przyrodę. Pozdrawiam

In a beautiful place to grow saxifrage. Good idea with the description of flowers. We are happy will be hosted here because I love nature. Yours

Υπάρχει και σε ροζ παραλλαγή και είναι εξ' ίσου όμορφη.

Καλές γιορτές και καλή χρονιά με πολλές - πολλές βοτανολογικές (και όχι μόνο) ανακαλύψεις !

Hello,
It's lovely to see what is growing in the wild in Greece. As far as I know we only see your country during the hot summer when there are no flowers to see only interested in the sunny beaches.
Have a lovely christmas and a very healthy and fantastic 2012
